Separated type photo sensor, light modulation type, KB3725
An infrared light-emitting diode is used on the emitting side, and a modulated phototransistor is used on the receiving side.
KB3725 is a separated type photo sensor that employs an infrared light-emitting diode on the emitting side and a modulated photo IC on the receiving side. It features an open collector output and can be installed over long distances (max. 2 m) between the emitter and receiver. Due to its optical modulation method, it is resistant to noise from ambient light (with a permissible ambient light level of 50,000 lx). It is suitable for applications such as work detection and positioning in automated lines, human passage detection at security gates and ticket barriers in stations, and prize drop detection in prize games.
